Quality Bicycle Products, Inc. (QBP) headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, will expand its business and distribution capacity by purchasing a 19.25 acre parcel of land in East Hempfield Township with the intention of constructing a regional business hub and distribution center.

In an ongoing effort to help QBP find a suitable home in Lancaster County, EDC has continued to work with QBP’s management team to locate a commercial site that offers everything QBP needs to grow its business. Since 2011, QBP has been utilizing a leased space in Middletown and, given the success the business has experienced, a permanent location in Lancaster County will help meet distribution demands.

“Lancaster County is fortunate to gain Quality Bicycle Products as a corporate citizen. The company has grown while maintaining excellent service to their customers and good relations with the communities in which they have located facilities” said David Nikoloff, President of EDC.

In addition to the site selection assistance provided by EDC, EDC Finance Corporation has worked with QBP to secure a $2,000,000 Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan. The PIDA funds will give QBP access to low rate, long term financing to assist with constructing a new 120,000 square foot warehouse.
