Two Lancaster County industrial businesses will add equipment thanks to loans awarded Wednesday by the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority.
The two companies, Flex-Cell Precision and Weaver Industries, both provide computer numerical control (CNC) machining.
Flex-Cell Precision, which makes military and commercial electronics enclosures, received a $584,000 loan toward the $1.46 million cost to buy and install advanced machinery. That will help retain the 30 full-time jobs at the 1151 S. Duke St. plant in Lancaster city.
Weaver Industries, which specializes in graphite and urethane products, received a $400,000 loan toward the $950,000 cost to buy and install advanced graphite-machining equipment. The project is expected to help retain 58 full-time jobs at its 425 S. 4th St., Denver, plant.
Helping both firms obtain the loans was the Lancaster-based nonprofit EDC Finance.
